Great and Cute nail design for summer

So I was looking around on the internet.... surprise! and i found some cute nail designs. I wanted to try these so badly so I did them on my sister. The picture to the right is my inspiration from cutepolish on youtube.
Steps!!!!! #1: I cleaned off my sister's nails and pushed back her cuticles. She has really short and small nails so this was difficult. Pushing back your cuticles will make more room for the polish and you will know when you should repaint your nails.
#2: I then gathered up some tape strips and crossed them on the nails so it left a triangle of open nail.
#3: I then grabbed a red-pink nail color and painted the open area of nail. If you look at the pinky finger in the picture you can see the tape. Once the paint is mostly dry peel off the tape carefully. Try not to let the tape take the paint from your nails:)
#4 Next you want to get a dark green color. You are going to make a "rind" at the end of your finger nail. I used a toothpick but if you have nail striper, you can get at the dollar store, it would work better. To make it a little bit more real you can get a lighter green and make little vertical stripes on your "rind". Just place a couple though otherwise it will change the color too much.
#5: We are almost done. Now you want to make the seeds. I suggest three so it is not too crowded but you may do whatever you want. To make these seeds you need either use a black nail striper, a black nail art pen, or a toothpick with black nail polish. Carefully make three oval shaped dots on the red right above the rind.
Now you are done. Just swipe over a fast drying clear coat and you are good to go:) Here is the list of products i used:) Contours nail lacquer in #177; Rimmel London nail lacquer in camouflage #830; wet n' wild nail color in jade #234; Sally Hansen Nail art pen in black #4090-02; Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Clearly Quick #110. Thank you ladies and stay tuned for my fourth of July contribution:)
